Meet Bill Lenz

Owner Southwest Tile

Bill Lenz and his son Jesse

Bill Lenz was born at Marine Corps Base Camp Lejeune in North Carolina while his father was serving as a U.S. Marine. When he was just two years old, his family moved to Texas, where they have deep roots spanning five generations.

Bill attended Arlington Heights High School, later working in roofing and ironwork before finding his true calling in tile. In 1985, he began as a tile helper, learning the craft from the ground up. Just two years later, in 1987, Southwest Tile was born. The inspiration? One day, after asking his boss for guidance, Bill was told, “You know more than I do.” That moment made him realize it was time to strike out on his own.

A proud Texan, Bill deeply loves his state, his country, and the people who serve it. He has immense respect for the military and first responders and considers himself a super patriot.

Bill is married to his wife, Esmeralda, and together they have three sons and two granddaughters. His oldest son, Mark, proudly works alongside him at Southwest Tile. Bill rarely takes time off, working seven days a week to keep projects moving and customers happy.

When it comes to his work, Bill’s philosophy is simple: “We do it right the first time. I won’t cut corners. We don’t half-ass anything.”

For nearly four decades, that commitment to craftsmanship, integrity, and hard work has made Southwest Tile a trusted name for tile installation in Texas.
